COMMUNITY EVENTS

Arts & Crafts Show: Saturday, November 1, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Ovations at Elk View, Come out for a large variety of original art and handmade crafts. Enjoy treats from the bake sale and cast your tickets for the collection of raffle prizes.  A free ticket for the Door Prize Basket will be handed out on arrival!

Christmas Makers Market: Sunday, Nov. 2, 10:30 AM-3:30 PM, Black Gumtree Farm, Kick of holiday shopping in style by browsing over 30 vendor tents, snacking on local treats where the proceeds benefit needy families in the area. 

Delaware Renaissance Faire: The first two weekends of November, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, Townsend, DE, Magic, adventure, comedy and fun for the whole family await at this amazing event! Tickets & Details

Music on Main: Saturday, Nov. 8, 5:00-8:00 PM, 220 South Main Street, Delaware 19711, Join Newark Live! for a vibrant evening on Main Street filled with live music, local craft vendors, and downtown dining! Stroll downtown as talented musicians set the soundtrack and artisans showcase unique handmade goods.

Tarot Card Pop-Up: Saturday, Nov. 8, 11-4 PM at Rooted on Main. Ready for a fresh perspective? Join Evylyn Rose for an intuitive tarot reading and uncover the clarity you need to move forward with confidence. This is your time for empowered reflection. Sessions are $20 for a 20 minute reading. 

Adult Art Night: Thursday, November 13, 6:00-7:30 PM, Avon Grove Library, Spend an evening of self-care with friends and fellow creatives! This month they’re  preparing for the busy holiday season with some relaxing crafts: watercolor painting, adult coloring pages, and DIY bath & body products.

Salsa Night: Saturday, Nov. 15, 7:00 PM at Calabrese Arts in Kennett Square, Join Instructor Ben and the Calabrese staff for a fun, high-energy evening of salsa dancing. All levels are welcome, from first-timers to pros, so come as you are and enjoy great music, great people, and great vibes. Don’t forget, it’s adults only & BYOB! Tickets 

Pumpkin Charcuterie Workshop: Sunday, Nov. 23, 1:00 PM, Held at Braeloch Brewing by The Cheese Chick, Enjoy laughter, drinks, and delicious food while discovering the art of building an aesthetically pleasing presentation using a variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, garnishes and other accompaniments. During the class, you'll have the opportunity to socialize with friends as you assemble your board. You'll be learning knife cuts, creating edible flower arrangements, and exploring food pairings. 

Turkey Cupcake Cake Decorating Class: Tuesday, Nov. 25, 6:00-8:00 PM, Hosted by Sweet Occasions in the Peddler’s Village, In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to create an adorable turkey made out of fall funfetti cupcakes that are perfect for Thanksgiving dessert. The skilled staff will guide you through each step; no prior baking experience is necessary - just come ready to have a good time, get creative, and drink hot apple cider! Thanksgiving Turkey Trot: Thursday, November 27, 8:00 AM, Rain or shine in Downtown West Chester, This 5K run/2K walk is a great way to kick off the holiday early. Bring your family & friends and plan for this to be an annual tradition! Mayday Coffee & Shop will have their “Coffee Cruiser” parked at the finish line, perfect for anyone looking to treat themselves to a post-run coffee, tea, or other pick-me-up! Register Here

Holiday Crafts & Hot Cocoa: Saturday, November 29, 10:30-11:30 AM, Avon Grove Library, Celebrate the season with Holiday Crafts and Hot Cocoa! Families are invited to sip hot cocoa, create festive crafts, check out our toy train, and write letters to Santa while waiting for his special arrival on the Santa Train! 

Fall Workshops: Check out festive fall themed workshops ranging from wreath making, succulent pumpkin arranging, and fairy terrarium building in a variety of beautiful venues throughout Chester County all directed by Chester County Cart Company

Fall Fun at Lytle's: Thursdays-Sundays in October, Visit Lytle's Farm just down the road from our Rooted New London store for family fun, outdoor actives all throughout the fall season. Pick pumpkins, pet the critters and get lost in the corn maze. For more details click here  

HALLOWEEN EVENTS

Adult Trick or Treat at Chaddsford Winery: Saturdays & Sundays October 4-November 2, 12:00-7:00 PM, Trick or Treat for wine and seasonal snacks at Chaddsford Winery's wildly popular, adults-only Halloween event! Costumes are encouraged, and fun is guaranteed. 

Flick'r Treat: Saturday, October 18, 6:30-10:30, $12-$17, West Chester Film Festival at Uptown, Join for an evening of Halloween themed films, starting the evening with family friendly, before moving to scarier films! Tickets

Monster Dash 5K: Saturday, October 25, 9:00 AM, Come dressed in your Halloween Costume for an extra dash of holiday spirit!  Runners of all ages are welcome, all terrain strollers only please. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Edgmont Township Fire Company No.1! Sign Up Here

Halloween Parade & Trick or Treat: Sunday, October 26, 3:00-5:00 PM, Newark Main Street, This special Halloween event, complete with marching bands, floats, antique automobiles, costumed characters and much more.The parade begins at Tyre Avenue and Main Street and marches west on Main Street, to College Avenue. 

There will be goodies from many stores and downtown businesses, and much more. Bring a camera and have your picture taken in the Pumpkin Patch.  All municipal lots will offer free parking to cars during the events.

KSQ Candy Trail: Sunday, October 26, 2:00-5:00 PM, State Street Kennett Square, Bring your kiddos in costume to follow the trail, find special promotions at your favorite shops and restaurants, and collect treats from more than 30 participating businesses throughout the Borough.

Quizapalooza Trivia: Thursdays, 6-8 PM, Paradocx Vineyards, Featuring a mix of pub games, music rounds, visual challenges, and more! 

KSQ Farmer’s Market: Fridays, 3-6 PM, 600 S Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA, As a gathering point for the community, local farmers and food artisans bring their very own locally-grown and freshly-made goodness to market each week. Consumers have the opportunity to connect directly with small growers and producers, building relationships, trust, and a stronger local food economy.

Toddler Storytime: Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM, Avon Grove Library, Bring your little ones for a morning of reading that fosters creativity, learning, and social skills. 

Trivia Night: Wednesdays, 7 PM, The Market at Liberty Place, Free, Enjoy a fun night of trivia with friends and learn something new along the way!

Preschool Storytime: Thursdays, 10-10:45 AM, Avon Grove Library, Bring your little ones for a morning of reading that fosters creativity, learning, and social skills.

Oxford Village Market: Thursdays, 1-6 PM through October, Located on the corner of Third and Locust streets in Oxford, PA. Shop local, fresh produce, quality meat and baked goods perfect for the season.

Live Music at the Market: Fridays & Saturdays, 6-10 PM, The Market at Liberty Place, Free, Different weekly line up of talented musicians and bands

Music Bingo: Saturdays, 6:30-8:30 PM, Paradocx Vineyards, Free, Music bingo is a fun spin on traditional bingo that allows you to jam out to song snippets while competing for gift cards & other prizes!
