Puppies & Popsicles: Friday, June 5, 12-2 PM at Rooted New London. Join us right after school lets out to celebrate the start of summer with puppies, popsicles and yard games. Feel free to hang out and enjoy the sunshine with a picnic lunch. 

Newark Nite: Friday, June 5 from 5–9 PM on Main Street in Newark, between South Chapel Street and South College Avenue. Spend the evening enjoying live music, games, local vendors, and plenty of food as downtown Newark comes alive for a community night out.

The Clover Market: June 7 from 10 AM–4 PM at 600 S. Broad Street in Kennett Square. Browse more than 100 carefully curated vendors at this popular outdoor market in the Mushroom Capital of the World. Discover handmade goods, vintage finds, artisan products, and one-of-a-kind treasures from makers across the region.

St. Anthony’s Italian Festival: Sunday, June 7–Saturday, June 13 at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington. One of the nation’s largest Italian-American cultural festivals returns with authentic Italian food, live music, traditional dancing, carnival rides, games, and family-friendly fun all week long. Festival hours vary by day, with evening festivities throughout the week. Single-day passes are $9.50 and full-week passes are $25.

Masterclass Series: American Wine History: June 11 at 6:30 PM at Penns Woods Winery in Chadds Ford. Explore the evolution of American wine from Prohibition to modern-day winemaking, including the impact of Robert Mondavi, the 1976 Judgment of Paris, and the innovations that helped American wines gain global recognition. Includes expert instruction and a guided tasting of four wines. $50.

Trail Blazer Run (America 250 Edition): June 11 from 6–8 PM at CCWA Paradise Farm Camps in Downingtown. Celebrate America's 250th birthday while supporting East Bradford Township's public trails. Participants can choose from a 5-mile trail run, 5K trail run, or 1.5-mile family fun run through the scenic and historic Paradise Farm Campgrounds. Registration is $15–$25.

Patriotic Paint & Sip: June 12 from 5:30–7:30 PM at Penns Woods Winery in Chadds Ford. Spend a creative evening painting a patriotic-themed canvas while enjoying a glass of wine. Your ticket includes all supplies, step-by-step instruction, and a pre-sketched canvas, making it easy for artists of all skill levels to join the fun. $65 per person.

The Reconnect | Christian Hip-Hop & Worship Concert: Friday, June 12–Saturday, June 13 at Faith City Family Church in Newark. This weekend-long event brings together Christian hip-hop, worship music, fellowship, and inspiring messages in an uplifting atmosphere. Full weekend tickets are available, or guests can attend the Friday evening concert experience.

Enchanted Summer Day: June 13 from 10 AM–3 PM at Winterthur. Enjoy a day of family-friendly fun in the award-winning Enchanted Woods children's garden featuring live music, crafts, historical games, and imaginative play areas. Admission is included with general admission, and Winterthur members attend free.

Main Street on the Vine: June 13 from 12–5 PM in downtown Oxford. Spend the afternoon sipping wine, enjoying live music, shopping local artisans, and grabbing lunch or ice cream. This outdoor gathering features a variety of regional makers, food vendors, and entertainment, including live music by Mystic Alpacas.

Kennett Summerfest: June 14 from 3–7 PM in downtown Kennett Square. Kick off summer with unlimited tastings from regional wineries, cideries, and meaderies alongside food from more than 40 local artisans and makers. Live music, floral displays, and artisan vendors create a lively festival atmosphere in the heart of town.

Reggae in the Park Delaware – An International Festival: Sunday, June 14 from 12–6 PM at Delaware Park in Wilmington. This free family-friendly festival celebrates music, culture, and community with live reggae performances, positive energy, and activities for all ages.

Taste of Oxford Food Stroll: June 17 from 6–8 PM in downtown Oxford. Stroll through town and sample food and drink offerings from five local restaurants and businesses while discovering new menu items and local favorites.

250 in Kennett: Celebrate America 250 in the Mushroom Capital of the World: June 18 from 5:30–9 PM in downtown Kennett Square. Celebrate America's 250th anniversary with live music, outdoor dining, family activities, and a patriotic atmosphere throughout State Street. Highlights include Kennett's iconic mushroom drop at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM, plus a community reading of the Declaration of Independence. Free.

Third Thursdays on State Street: Every third Thursday from May through October, from 5:30–9 PM in downtown Kennett Square. Enjoy outdoor dining, extended shopping hours, live music, and family-friendly activities as State Street transforms into a lively pedestrian-friendly gathering space. Free.

Chester County Hot Air Balloon Festival: June 19–21 at Ludwig's Corner Horse Show Grounds in Glenmoore. Celebrate the festival's 18th year with colorful hot air balloons, family activities, special experiences, photo opportunities, food, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to watch balloons fill the sky at the event's new location.

World Cup Watch Party: Saturday, June 20 from 2–6 PM at Hudson Fields Concerts in Milton. Watch Germany vs. Ivory Coast alongside fellow soccer fans during this open-lawn World Cup viewing party. Enjoy pre-game festivities, family-friendly entertainment, giveaways, soccer activities, food, and drinks available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Tickets are $15 per person.

June Bloom Festival: Happening all month long at Lavender Fields Farm at Warrington Manor in Milton, Delaware. Celebrate the beauty of the season with blooming lavender fields, scenic farm views, and relaxing summer experiences throughout June.

 

WEEKLY EVENTS

Story & Craft Time: Mondays at 10:00 AM, Christian Life Center, All kids and parents are invited to join us every Monday in the Yellow Mug Cafe for story time. We ask that parents accompany their kids for these events. No registration required

Track & Build Hot Wheels: Tuesdays at 10:00 AM, Kennett Square Library, Come build and race using our Hot Wheels tracks and cars during our Start Your Engines! Morning Sessions, in the Children's Area.

Walking Book Club: Tuesdays in March, 10:00-11:00 AM, Strollers and families welcome.Bundle up, grab an audiobook, and walk with friends while listening to your favorite library books! Check them out at Kennett Library, where we start, and walk with us in town. We end our walks at Mary Pat's Provisions, where you will receive 50 cents off a beverage. Registration required for beverage coupon. Families with strollers or wheelchairs are welcome! Every Tuesday morning this month 10-11am.

Toddler Storytime: Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM, Avon Grove Library, Bring your little ones for a morning of reading that fosters creativity, learning, and social skills.

YoQi with Jan: Wednesdays, 10 AM, Kennett Square Library, Join Jan Michener, Executive Director of Arts Holding Hands and Hearts (AHHAH) for a blending of Yoga and QiGong. YoQi With Jan is a FREE Movement, Breath, and Awareness class that integrates elements of yoga, QiGong, and meditation to increase energy and emotional balance, reduce the effects of stress, and enhance connections within ourselves, to each other, and with the earth. Trivia with Kirsten: Thursdays, 7 PM, Valhalla Brewing Co. in Elkton, MD, Brand new this season, Valhalla is hosting themed trivia each week! The brewery is family friendly, offers dinner and drinks, and has a fun pinball machine for in between rounds of trivia!

Music Bingo: Saturdays, 6:30-8:30 PM, Paradocx Vineyards, Free, Music bingo is a fun spin on traditional bingo that allows you to jam out to song snippets while competing for gift cards & other prizes!
