2026 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show: Recurring daily from February 28-March 8, Gardens aren’t just made; they’re passed down through generations, carried across oceans, lifetimes, and lands. The 2026 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show celebrates the stories that ground us in gardening, whether it’s the nostalgia of a grandparent’s garden, a beloved family recipe that begins with the bright scent of freshly picked herbs and vegetables, or the heritage traditions that shape how we plant, grow, and gather. Through immersive garden exhibits and stunning floral displays, Rooted: Origins of American Gardening, brings to life the personal stories, cultural traditions, and horticultural inspiration that connect us to plants, each other, and shape how we garden today. Crafting Group: Every other Tuesday, March 3, 17 & 31, 9:30-11:00 AM, Christian Life Center, Come join the Crafting Group that meets every other Tuesday at 9:30 am in room 125 at the CLC's main entrance. We are making mats for the homeless out of plastic bags as well as making crafts for the community.
The Dark History of Chester and Delaware Counties with Jennifer Green: Thursday, March 5, 6:30-7:30 PM, Avon Grove Library, True tales from the mysterious history of Delaware and Chester Counties. Hear cases of witchcraft and natural disasters. Learn how one woman's murder trial in the 18th century changed the Pennsylvania legal system forever, and how the system of indentured servitude might have driven one young man to commit the most heinous of crimes.

Legos at the Library: Tuesday, March 10, Avon Grove Library, 4:30-5:30, Lego fanatics, early engineers, and friends join us to build something inspired by the Winter season, participate in challenges, or free play with our Lego collection! For ages 6 and up
Abundance/Excess: A Contemporary Eye on Still Life: Recurring daily from March 14-June 7 at the Brandywine River Museum, The first section of the exhibition, Abundance, will feature contemporary artworks that interrogate the forms and distribution of wealth in American history, and to question how we buy and sell in the present. The second section of the exhibition, Excess, considers the environmental and social impacts of overconsumption. Many of the featured artworks incorporate discarded and repurposed materials, including bath towels, trash-picked toys, and collaged grocery flyers.

St. Patrick’s Revenge 5K: Sunday, March 15, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at Kelly Logan House in Wilmington, DE, Kick off St. Paddy’s week the right way, a quick 5K through Trolley Square and a post-race party at The Logan House. Runners, walkers, newbies… everyone’s in.

Astronomy Show at WCU Mather Planetarium: Friday, March 20, 7:00-8:00. Doors open 6:30 PM, The First Galaxies (live show), Family friendly; the live shows may be better suited for older children and adults. The Mather Planetarium is located in the Schmucker Science Center on the north campus of West Chester University, The corner of Church St. and Rosedale Ave West Chester PA 19383. The cost of the show is $6 per person.
Kennett Underground Railroad Bus Tours: March 21, 10:00 AM at the Kennett Heritage Center, 120 North Union Street, Kennett Square, PA. $30 per adult, $15 for children under 14. These popular, family-friendly bus tours are led by a knowledgeable local guide. You will visit documented Underground Railroad sites, historic homes and Quaker Meetinghouses while learning about local abolitionists and anti-slavery activity in the Kennett Square area. The tour also presents the contributions of local African Americans and their faith communities in the quest for freedom from slavery.
Longwood Gardens Spring Blooms: Begins March 27
West Chester Railroad's Easter Bunny Express: 3/28/2026, 3/29/2026, 4/4/2026, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, Hop on board the West Chester Railroad and take a 90 minute round trip along the beautiful Chester Creek from West Chester to the historic Glen Mills village. The Easter Bunny will be on board our heated decorated train handing out treats to all passengers! During our brief stop at the historic Glen Mills station there will be plenty of opportunities for you to take a brief photo with the Easter Bunny and explore the historic station. Tickets
OMI Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, March 28, 10:00-11:00 AM, Downtown Oxford, PA, This free community event is for kids ages 3-10 to hunt for over 2000 stuffed easter eggs!
Franklin Township Easter Egg Hunt & Event: Saturday, March 28, 10-11 AM, Crossans Park, 91 Parsons Rd, Landenberg, PA, Kids get to enjoy an easter egg hunt and meet the Easter Bunny, while parents can sip on coffee from Creekside Coffee. The event will also feature a plant swap, an opportunity to meet and interact with a Pennsylvania State Police Officer.
Christian Life Center Egg Hunt: Saturday, March 28, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, at the Christian Life Center in New London township, There will be prizes, face painting, farm animals, crafts and more! The egg hunt kicks off at 10:00 AM
Newark Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, March 28, 10:00 AM, Newark High School, Newark’s annual egg hunt will be held on the athletic fields at Newark High School on Saturday, March 28 beginning at 10 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Newark High School gym. All children should bring a basket or bag to collect their goodies.

Track & Build Hot Wheels: Tuesdays at 10:00 AM, Kennett Square Library, Come build and race using our Hot Wheels tracks and cars during our Start Your Engines! Morning Sessions, in the Children's Area.
Walking Book Club: Tuesdays in March, 10:00-11:00 AM, Strollers and families welcome.Bundle up, grab an audiobook, and walk with friends while listening to your favorite library books! Check them out at Kennett Library, where we start, and walk with us in town. We end our walks at Mary Pat's Provisions, where you will receive 50 cents off a beverage. Registration required for beverage coupon. Families with strollers or wheelchairs are welcome! Every Tuesday morning this month 10-11am.
