Holiday Drive: November 17-December 9, Rooted on Main is collecting non-perishable food donations for the Newark Area Welfare Committee. Your donation will be given to local Newark families in need. Thank you for your support!
Thanksgiving Turkey Trot: Thursday, November 27, 8:00 AM, Rain or shine in Downtown West Chester, This 5K run/2K walk is a great way to kick off the holiday early. Bring your family & friends and plan for this to be an annual tradition! 39th Annual Thanksgiving Day Breakfast: Thursday, Nov. 27, 8-10:30 AM, Hosted by the City of Newark at the George Wilson Center, 303 New London Rd, Newark DE. Enjoy a community filled morning with a delicious breakfast served by volunteers from the Parks and Recreation Department of Newark.

Winter Artisan Market: Friday, Dec. 5, 6-8 PM, Outside of Barnes & Nobles on Main Street in Newark, This market is in conjunction with Newark’s Winterfest which is family fun including caroling and a tree lighting.
New London Township Tree Lighting Celebration: 4:30-6:30, Saturday, December 6 at New London Township Park, Join the local community in caroling, luminaries, sweet treats, crafts and games for kids, a visit with Santa, and the Christmas tree lighting! The rain date for this event is the following day, Sunday, December 7.
Snack with Santa & Santa's Secret Shoppe: Saturday, December 6, 9 AM, George Wilson Center in Newark, DE Children can snack with Santa and shop for affordable gifts for family members (all items $10 and under) with free gift wrapping and volunteer assistance.
West Chester Christkindlmarkt: Saturday, Dec. 13, 11 AM-6 PM, Downtown West Chester, PA on Gay Street, This outdoor holiday market is free to the public. The Christkindlmarkt will feature over 100 vendors offering individually handcrafted and locally-designed products, such as art, ceramics, jewelry, homewares, and much more!
Newark Holiday Punk Rock Flea Market: 12-5 PM, Saturday, Dec. 13 & Sunday, Dec. 14, Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Banquet Hall, 410 Ogletown Road, Newark, DE This two-day event features over 45 vendors daily, along with live punk rock bands and DJs!

Kennett Square Holiday Village Market: December 6th, 7th,13th, & 14th, 11 AM-5 PM, at The Creamery, This market is a curated shopping and dining experience in the heart of the Brandywine Valley. Each day boasts a rotating selection of more than 40 artisan vendors, exclusive beverages, food trucks, and family activities. The market is presented by Kennett Collaborative and Square Roots Collective, nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping Kennett Square thrive. Admission is free. Guests of all ages are welcome.
Tinsel on the Town: Thursday, December 18, 5-8 PM, State Street in Kennett Square, This event is perfect for families and holiday lovers of all ages, this enchanting evening features a festive train ride up and down State Street, meet-and-greet moments with Santa Claus, and street vendors offering seasonal treats and handcrafted gifts. Warm up with hot chocolate or sip mulled wine as you explore Kennett’s local shops, many of which offer holiday specials and festive surprises.
2025 Midnight in the Square: Wednesday, Dec. 31, Celebrate New Years Eve in Kennett Square under the Sparkling Mushroom! The entertainment scheduled for our event this year is spectacular! Live Bands, Stage Shows, Lasers and a Photo Booth! Admission is non-perishable food donation which will be collected for Kennett Area Community Service.
