Mini Maker's Market

🧶🧵🧸📖🎨🧼🪴 Rooted is thrilled to host an open-air market led entirely by our community’s young makers (ages 6–16)!

These talented kids have spent their summer crafting everything from jewelry, crocheted stuffies, and t-shirts to soaps, candles, art prints, birdhouses, dog toys, and more. Their creativity is truly inspiring!

Moore Meats Pop Up: Saturday, August 30, 10-4 PM, Rooted New London, Shop American Wagyu cuts from local farm Moore Meats

Mini Maker's Market: Saturday, September 27, 12-2 PM, Rooted New London, Support the next generation of artisans and entrepreneurs at our craft fair. Aged 6-16 each artist creates and sells their own wares at our annual Mini Maker's Market. The application to become a Mini Maker is now closed.

Country Line Dancing: Thursday, August 28, 7:30-9:30, The Creamery in Kennett Square, This free event is hosted by Calabrese Arts. It is a fun filled evening of dancing for all levels of experience. This event repeats the fourth Thursday of each month

Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys: Thursday, September 4, 8:20 PM kick off, The first game of the season is bound to be a good one as the Super Bowl reigning champions play on the Lincoln Financial Field with all of us cheering them on 

Mushroom Parade: Thursday, September 4, 6:00-8:00 PM, State St, Kennett Square, The parade will feature whimsical floats, mushroom-themed costumes, and local performance groups, showcasing the wonderful creativity and community spirit that only Kennett Square can bring. This is the kickoff of the 40th annual celebration of the Mushroom Festival

Car Show: Friday, September 5, 3:00-8:00 PM, Oxford Main Street, 11th annual car show with live music, food trucks and 200+ car vendors. Walk the streets seeing cool styles of new and classic cars, meet their owners and hear the stories 

Chesco Air Fest & Valley Day: Saturday, September 13, 11:00 AM-6:00 PM, Free, Valley Township Parks & Recreation and Chester County Aviation Flight School, 1148 Broad Run Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320

Hispanic Heritage Festival: Saturday, September 13, 2025, 12:00-6:30 PM, 600 S Broad St, Kennett Square, Casa Guanajuato presents Honoring the past, inspiring the future. A full day of culture, community and conchas. Celebrate Mexican and Central American independence with live music, cultural performances, vibrant ceremonies, authentic latin food, a classic car & bike show, and fun family activities.  

The Hispanic Heritage After Party: Saturday, September 13, 5:00 PM-11:00 PM, Kennett Creamery, Keep the fun going following the festival by enjoying live Latin music by Pasión Musical Group, a traditional fashion show contest, and special food and drink offerings highlighting flavors from across Latin America. All while giving back with a portion of proceeds supporting Casa Guanajuato

Glass Pumpkin Festival: Friday, September 12-Sunday, September 14, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, WGK Glass Art, 1255 Newark Rd, Toughkenamon, PA 19374, $5, Visit the Glass Pumpkin Festival at WGK glassblowing studio where you can make your own glass pumpkin.

Kennett Arts Festival: Saturday, September 20-Sunday, September 21, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM Saturday , 12:00-4:00 PM Sunday, 600 S Broad St, Kennett Sq, $5, over 100 artists, live music, children’s activities, and a selection of local food vendors, including beer and wine. 

Chester County Restaurant Festival: Sunday, September 21, 12:00 PM-5:30 PM in Downtown West Chester, This foodie event is full of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from Chester County and beyond. Local & regional food vendors and restaurants take over Downtown West Chester serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. Our Beer and Wine Garden (on N. Church St.) is a great place to stop and enjoy your food with a beverage. There are three stage areas with bands performing throughout the day. 

The Lights Festival: Thursday, September 25, 3:00 PM, 387 North Green Valley Road, Unionville, PA 19375, Immerse yourself in a world of wonder as twilight descends and our lantern-filled heavens come alive.There will be food and drink available for purchase, vendors to check out, and live music to enjoy. Outside food and drink are also permitted. Purchase tickets here 

Pumpkin Floral Arrangement Workshop: Friday, September 26, 6:00 PM, Harvest Ridge Winery in Toughkenamon, $79, Celebrate the start of fall with flowers, pumpkins, and wine! The workshop is guided by expert florists from Chester County Cart Co. Wine and doughnuts welcome you to a creative evening crafting fresh flower arrangement in a real pumpkin. Purchase tickets here

KSQ Farmer’s Market: Fridays, 3-6 PM, 600 S Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA, As a gathering point for the community, local farmers and food artisans bring their very own locally-grown and freshly-made goodness to market each week. Consumers have the opportunity to connect directly with small growers and producers, building relationships, trust, and a stronger local food economy.

Toddler Storytime: Tuesdays, 10:30-11:15 AM, Avon Grove Library, Bring your little ones for a morning of reading that fosters creativity, learning, and social skills. 

Trivia Night: Wednesdays, 7 PM, The Market at Liberty Place, Free, Enjoy a fun night of trivia with friends and learn something new along the way!

Preschool Storytime: Thursdays, 10-10:45 AM, Avon Grove Library, Bring your little ones for a morning of reading that fosters creativity, learning, and social skills.

Oxford Village Market: Thursdays, 1-6 PM through October, Located on the corner of Third and Locust streets in Oxford, PA. Shop local, fresh produce, quality meat and baked goods perfect for the season.

Live Music at the Market: Fridays & Saturdays, 6-10 PM, The Market at Liberty Place, Free, Different weekly line up of talented musicians and bands

Music Bingo: Saturdays, 6:30-8:30 PM, Paradocx Vineyards, Free, Music bingo is a fun spin on traditional bingo that allows you to jam out to song snippets while competing for gift cards & other prizes!
