Eco Dye is a technique that transfers the pigments and tannins present in the leaves onto the silk. Mordanted scarves are rolled tightly to form contact with the leaves. They are then heat-treated, then dyed with Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes for background color. They are hand washable and will not bleed.
All of Anne's scarves feature leaves, flowers, and stems collected in her Newark yard and neighborhood. They are a beautiful and unique celebration of the shapes and sizes of local flora in Delaware.
Each scarf is hand-dyed and wholly unique.
