2025 Mini Maker's Market

2025 Mini Maker's Market

This year’s third annual Mini Makers Market was truly one to remember. Forty incredible kids, ages 6–16, spent their summer crafting, designing, and creating in preparation for this special open-air event. What emerged was a marketplace overflowing with creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial spirit. These young makers reminded us that imagination and hard work know no age limit.

Thank you to our community who showed up to support them. Your enthusiasm, purchases, and words of encouragement mean more than you know. The Mini Makers may be young in years, but their impact on our community is mighty.

While we couldn’t feature every talented artist in this recap, know that there were many more amazing kids who filled the day with energy and creativity. We’re endlessly proud of all the Mini Makers and grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a success. Now, to the best part, meet a few of the young creators who made this year’s market so special!

Blaze, 13, Mega Monsters Prints

Blaze jumped into 3D printing after being inspired by an artist he spotted at the Arden Fairand once he got a printer for Christmas, there was no stopping him. His favorite creation is a spiral dragon that can curl up tight or stretch out like a toy snake. With 13 hours of printing and tons of tiny moving pieces, it’s a project that’s just as awesome as it sounds!

Kylie, 15, The Crafted Sprout

Kylie has always loved crafting, but last summer she decided to take things up a notch and turn her hobby into a business. From seasonal décor to macramé to painting, she loves making a little bit of everything—but her newest obsession is embroidered hoops (and even shirts, like the one she proudly wore at the market!). What she enjoys most is seeing how people use her creations to brighten up their homes and spaces.

Adelyn, 12, Wired

Adelyn first got hooked on crafting after receiving an earring-making kit as a gift, and she’s been experimenting ever since. What started with leather earrings quickly grew into wire shaping, bead threading, and even clay work. The trickiest part? Perfecting those rounded shapes. Her favorite design right now is a purple beaded pair with a little charm.

Nolan, 10, Buttons and Bookmarks

Nolan turned his after-school passion project into a business, creating all kinds of fun treasures. His favorite to make are magnetic pearlers—tiny beaded designs that he carefully builds bead by bead, then irons together to create a lasting image. He especially loves the puzzle of finding just the right shapes to bring his ideas to life, making each piece both clever and colorful.

Cassidy, 12, Creations by Cassidy Rae

Cassidy first discovered her love of crafting while making projects with her grandmother, and now she creates everything from bath bombs to shaped crayons. Her favorite, though, are her seashell trinket dishes—each one gets a patterned napkin layered in mod podge, finished off with shiny gold edges for a little extra sparkle.

Elizabeth & Paige, 11 & 12, P & E Slime & Co.

Elizabeth and Paige turned a shared hobby into a partnership, mixing up batches of slime. Their slimes come in all kinds of colors and scents, but their favorite (and funniest) is their “cheese slime”—a mix of orange slushy and frozen lemonade that they declare smells just like cheese. Some creations skip the scent but stick to fun themes, like their Starbucks Pink Drink slime. The trickiest part is nailing the ingredient ratios, which can take up to 45 minutes just to make four jars—but the end result is totally worth it.

Neileah, 11

Neileah brought a colorful mix of paintings and trinkets to the market, from keychains to coasters to earrings and sunglass cases. Her favorite project is her stitch painting—a detailed creation that really shows off her patience and creativity. The trickiest part? Perfecting all the tiny details, but the result is totally worth it!

Bella, 11, Purrs & Paws Boutique

Bella’s love for her pets shines through in every creation at Purrs & Paws Boutique. From cat and dog toys to tasty treats, she gets creative with recycled materials like fabric, pom-poms, and even wine corks. Her favorite project? Water bottle toys for dogs that are as fun to make as they are to play with. The biggest challenge? Convincing her picky cat, Truffles, to actually try the treats—but in the end, even he gave them a thumbs-up!

Ainsley, 8, Painted Fox Farms

Ainsley jumped into crafting after friends told her about the Mini Makers Market, and she’s been busy ever since! Her table featured candles, wood trays, and little floral arrangements—with all the wood trays carefully stained by hand (and yes, things can get a little messy). Her favorite creations are her pumpkin candles, and she even makes wax melts as a clever way to recycle leftover wax.

Wyatt, 11, Woodworkings by Wyatt

Wyatt learned the ropes of woodworking from his dad and has been building ever since. His table was full of cool birdhouses, but his favorite has to be the Eagles-themed birdhouse, packed with team spirit. The trickiest part? Painting all the tiny details just right—but the results are worth every careful stroke!

Betty, 12, Betty's Boutique

Betty got her start in crafting after receiving a sewing machine for Christmas, making scrunchies as her very first project. These days, her favorite creations are her tote bags—and she even wore a bow hair tie she made herself, tucked at the end of her braid! The trickiest part? Flipping pieces inside out to get perfect seams. She’s also branched out into clothing, including a jumper that even won an award at the Salanco Fair!

Thank you for supporting the Mini Makers!
