Carol Lesher

Meet Carol Lesher

Carol Lesher's artistic process is deeply intuitive, shaped by her immediate responses to the natural beauty that surrounds her. Confronting inner turmoil such as anxiety and fear, she finds solace and inspiration in the wider world, using it to internalize and express onto canvas. Through painting, she transforms uncertainty into order, centering herself and opening up new realms of possibility and emotion.

Her work delves into the delicate balance between representation and abstraction, often drawing from the rhythmic patterns of nature and the simplicity of natural forms. Primarily focused on landscapes and occasional interpretations of the sea, her paintings reflect environments filtered through soft light and flattened colors, blending modern aesthetics with keen observational skills and emotional depth.

Carol traces the contours of trees, waves, and horizons, exploring the structured order inherent in nature. Her paintings tell elemental stories, conveying a sense of collective knowledge and evolutionary time. Each artwork is a culmination of moments, meticulously layered and refined to capture the essence of movement, energy, and harmony. Through her instinctual process, she creates works that resonate with beauty, emerging from the tensions inherent in her artistic journey.
