Meet Ellikin Knits

Welcome to Ellikin Knits! I'm Stephanie, the hands and heart behind this little knitwear haven. What started as a hobby has blossomed into a passion project where I get to share my love for knitting with you. 

One of the first questions I get asked is, “Where did the name Ellikin come from?” When I started this business, I wanted a name that felt special and one-of-a-kind. I played around with different ideas until I landed on something meaningful: I combined the last few letters of my maiden name, Minielli, and my married name, Hawkins, and just like that — Ellikin was born.

Every piece you see is handmade by me in my cozy home in Central Pennsylvania. Whether it’s a beanie, cowl, or another fiber favorite, it’s crafted with intention, care, and plenty of love. I believe in creating knitwear that’s not just beautiful but also soft, durable, and incredibly comfortable. My goal is to craft items that you’ll love to wear and cherish for years to come.

Each stitch tells a story, and I pour my creativity and dedication into every design. From cozy scarves to stylish hats and warm mittens, I strive to make each piece unique and special, just like you. I take pride in the meticulous attention to detail and the high quality of the materials I use, ensuring that each item is something you'll be proud to own.

Running Ellikin Knits allows me to combine my love for knitting with my desire to create sustainable, timeless pieces. It’s a joy to know that my creations bring warmth and style to your life.

You’ll often find me knitting wherever I go — unless I’m biking or kayaking (still working on that part!). I’m always inspired by new fibers, beautiful colors, and the joy of seeing what my hands can create.

I live tucked away in the woods with my husband, our son, our two rescue cats, and our special needs rescue pup, Cooper — who has quite the personality and makes regular appearances on my socials.

When I’m not knitting at home, you can often find me set up at local markets, sharing my work in person and connecting with my amazing community. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
